Cheryl Clark
Cheryl is from Rancho Cucamonga,
CA, and is a Theology Major at the University of San Diego.
Cheryl is living in the town of Cara Sucia in the department
of Ahuachapán and working for the Salvadoran Ecological
Union (UNES), accompanying a women’s artisans group.

Amelia Iraheta
Amelia is half-Salvadoran and
comes to us from Seattle, WA. She is a Film & Psychology
major at Emerson College in Boston. While in El Salvador,
she will be living in the community of Ciudad Romero in the
department of Usulutan. She works with the Bajo Lempa Coordinating
Committee supporting the community radio station El Mangle.

Kristina Leszczak
Kristina is from Cleveland,
Ohio, and is a Political Science and Spanish major at the
University of Notre Dame. She is living in the community of
La Florida in the department of La Libertad and working for
the Permaculture Institute of El Salvador accompanying the
organic farming and community organizing training programs
in the area.

Gina Meyer
Gina Meyer is from Cincinnati,
Ohio, and is a Pre-med and Theology major at Saint Louis University.
While in El Salvador, she is working with APROCSAL, an environmental
organization, conducting research on environmental contamination
of rivers near San Jorge, the community where she lives. She
is also giving English classes at the local school.

Paul Mitchell
Paul is from Ft. Myers, Florida,
and is a student in the Liberal Studies and International
Peace Studies program at the University of Notre Dame. He
is living in the community San Rafael Oriente in the department
of San Miguel and working with OIKOS Solidarity in community
organization. He will also be giving English classes at the
Casa de Cultura in San Jorge.
