The Winter 2006/07 Salvanet is Now ON-LINE! The Winter 2006-2007 issue of Salvanet looks at water in El Salvador. Only sixty percent of Salvadorans have access to potable water: what about the other 40%? Is Salvadoran water management sustainable in the long term? Will it be possible for Salvadorans to stop the effort by the IDB and Multi-national Corporations to convert water from a basic human right into a commodity? How are clergy and faith-based groups getting involved? The edition touches on these and other issues. We've even included a resource guide for worship on water and reprinted the "Water for Life" statement, adopted at the World Council of Churches' Ninth Assembly earlier this year. Click here to check out the entire Winter 2006-07 edition, but you need to download Adobe Reader (or Acrobat) to read it. If you’ve never seen Salvanet before, check out our archives page, with editions on-line going back to 1997. Enjoy! And, as always, feel free to write us with questions, comments and feedback at salvanet@crispaz.org If you'd like a hard copy version of Salvanet, they're free!
